Lake Magadi is located on the southern part of the Rift Valley and it has rich minerals of soda lakes. It supports many flamingos and other water birds. Olorgasailie is located on the nothern part of of Magadi, and it is reknown for important archaeological findings made by the famous Dr. Richard Leakey and Mrs. Mary Leakey in the 1940's.

 

This is a fantastic trip not too far from the capital city that will have the following itinerary:

 

Day 1:

Early morning departure from a central location for a visit to the hot springs of Rift Valley where packed lunch will be served.After lunch, the entourage will continue on to the olorgesailie prehistoric site where the camp will be set up for overnight stay. Dinner will be served later in the day and a bonfire lit later to facilitate for barbeque nyama choma goat(roasted meat.

 

Day 2:

Breakfast will be served quite early in the morning and preparations made for the hiking expedition to the summit of Mount.Olorgasailie. The group will then be served lunch in the afternoon followed by a visit to Olorgasailie museum then the return trip back to the city in the evening.
